Employee Spotlight: Meet Our Bookkeeper, Jayme Owen

This month, we are excited to introduce Jayme Owen, our versatile and dedicated Bookkeeper who also excels in customer service and order entry. Jayme Owen has been with Apollo Bath for nine years, making significant contributions in her role as Bookkeeper. With a natural affinity for organization and process-driven tasks, Jayme found her perfect fit in bookkeeping. Despite Apollo being her first career in the manufacturing/designing/healthcare industry, she has embraced her role and excelled in it.

 

Inspiration is a key driver for Jayme, and she finds it in her coworker, Tom Mara. His joyful outlook is contagious and motivates her to bring her best to work every day. Jayme lives by the simple yet profound motto, “Work hard and be kind; that is all.” This mantra is reflected in her daily interactions and work ethic.

 

Outside of work, Jayme is a devoted mother and wife. She loves watching her boys play sports, whether it’s baseball, basketball, or football, and enjoys paddle boarding on the river with her husband and dog. These activities provide her with the perfect balance to her professional life.

 

One memorable moment at Apollo Bath was a Halloween when the team decided to dress up as Tom Mara, complete with tie-dye T-shirts and train conductor outfits. Tom’s reaction to their creative costumes was unforgettable, bringing a wave of smiles and amusement to the entire team.

 

Jayme’s favorite part of her workday is processing payments. She finds satisfaction in seeing her outstanding invoice list decrease, which signifies progress and accomplishment. Despite facing the personal challenge of losing her father in her 20s, Jayme has built a beautiful family and a fulfilling life, continuing to thrive both personally and professionally.

 

Helping customers find what they need is one of the most fulfilling aspects of Jayme’s job. She values the opportunity to connect with customers and provide solutions that make a difference in their lives. Apollo Bath has supported her growth by encouraging new experiences and allowing her the freedom to make decisions and create processes. This trust and encouragement from leaders like Zach and Todd have been instrumental in her development.

 

The supportive and collaborative culture at Apollo Bath is something Jayme cherishes. With a small, tight-knit team, everyone helps each other out, ensuring that the company’s operations run smoothly. The culture is easy-going, filled with dad jokes and movie quotes, creating a fun and positive work environment.

 

As for the future, Jayme is excited about the possibilities. While she enjoys her current role, the dynamic nature of Apollo Bath means that new opportunities are always on the horizon. Who knows? Maybe one day she’ll be the Director of Marketing!
